Wardrobe Upgrade: Vest Season
For most of the country, you can go ahead and start working a vest into your wardrobe. I live in Houston and we are still in the 80’s, but once there’s a 6 handle in the temperature you better believe I’m throwing that vest on. Just don’t overdo it. Don’t wear a vest everyday or coworkers will start to think it’s your uniform. Mix it up some.
Weekend Date: Pumpkin Patch (if the temperature is below 70)
Looking for an easy date idea this weekend? Find a good local pumpkin patch. Shouldn’t be tough to find one these days as they have exploded in popularity the last several years. Do a little research to find the right one though. Many have additional activities you can do, but be prepared to take some pictures of your date to post on Instagram. And if she asks you to join the pictures, then you know things are looking good. Once she is all pumpkin-ed out, find a happy hour and keep that date going…
What to Watch: Belfast
I finally got around to watching the movie Belfast a few weeks ago and highly recommend it. Incredibly powerful story about a family living in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1969. Cinematography is great, music is great (music by Van Morrison) and all the actors were superb. Most of it is based on the director/writer Kenneth Branagh experience living in Belfast during this time.
Weekend Sale: Allen Edmonds
Looking for some new dress shoes? Then checkout the sale going on at Allen Edmonds. In my opinion, Allen Edmonds still makes the best bang for your buck men’s dress shoe. Classic designs and incredibly durable. If you’re going to buy some Allen Edmonds, make sure you learn how to properly take care of them. Their products certainly aren’t cheap, but if you take care of them, they can last you decades. So look at the purchase as an investment and it might save you some money in the long run.
