What to Listen To: Ryan Adams 1989
It seems like the NFL is going to keep riding the Taylor Seift train as long as they can and she keeps going to Chiefs games. I find it annoying, but whatever.
Personally I’m not a Taylor Swift fan, nothing against her, I just don’t listen to her music. I don’t think I’m exactly her targeted demographic though and probably can’t name 3 of her songs. That said, there is one Taylor Swift cover album that I think is pretty great. Ryan Adams took Swift’s album 1989 and put his own spin on it, turning the more producer sounding pop songs into a stripped down, alternative rock version. So give Swift some songwriting credit, because if I had just listened to the album without knowing she wrote all the songs, there’s no way I would have figured it out.
